Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms cover use of the WORKFORCE app at https://app.workforcedentalstaffing.com, including candidate accounts, dental office accounts, and an AI assistant you connect to the app.
The public marketing website has its own terms at https://www.workforcedentalstaffing.com/terms-and-conditions. Those cover that website. These terms cover the app. How we handle personal information is in the Privacy Policy.
Who you are dealing with
WORKFORCE is a dental staffing agency. We place dental professionals into temporary shifts and permanent roles.
- Workforce Staffing Solutions Ltd., 400-1681 Chestnut Street, Vancouver, BC V6J 4M6, Canada, is the company for Canadian residents.
- Workforce Dental Staffing Solutions Inc., 1455 NW Leary Way, Suite 400, Seattle, WA 98107, United States, is the company for US residents.
A temporary or locum booking is employment with WORKFORCE for that booking. On that booking we carry registration checks, payroll, and insurance and workers' compensation coverage. A permanent hire is employment with the practice from the first day. The verification we do for temporary work does not transfer with someone who becomes the practice's own employee.
Bookings, rates, cancellation fees, and payment follow the staffing plan and rate agreement the office accepts. A signed staffing agreement or rate agreement wins over these terms where they differ.
Using the app
Create an account with accurate information. You must be at least 19 if you are in Canada, and at least 18 if you are in Washington or elsewhere in the United States. Keep your registration current. Tell us when something material changes, including your phone, your address, your licence, or who is allowed to act for an office.
You may use the app to look for shifts, to manage a profile, to request staff, and to handle the timesheets and notices the product supports. You may not scrape it in a way that degrades it, attempt to break into it, or present yourself as WORKFORCE.
The words, layout, and graphics in the app are ours, or are used with permission. Trade marks of regulators and software vendors remain theirs.
The app is for Canada and the United States, in the provinces and states we actually staff. A profession we do not place in your province or state will not be offered there. EFDA is offered only where that credential exists.
Candidates
You are responsible for the truth of your profile, your licence, your right to work, and your scope of practice. We confirm registration with the relevant regulator before you work a shift. An application that misstates registration, right to work, or history is one we will decline.
Applying to a shift, or asking an assistant to apply where that action is enabled, is a request. It is not a promise that you will be booked. Where the product says a Preferred professional is assigned immediately, that assignment is real once it is confirmed, and cancelling it later has the consequences the app shows, including reliability and loss of Preferred status.
Payment details are collected only after you are booked on a first shift that WORKFORCE pays. You provide them so we can pay you. Client offices do not receive them.
You accept the worker acknowledgement in the app when we ask for it. That acknowledgement is your own. An assistant cannot accept it for you.
Offices
You are responsible for the safety of your premises, for supervision that meets your regulator's requirements, and for clinical decisions in your operatories. Whether a professional suits your operatory is your judgement.
Posting a temporary job request can notify matching professionals immediately. Cancelling a filled shift inside the fee window can create a cancellation fee. The app states that fee before you confirm. The same rules apply if you post or cancel through an assistant. You are responsible for the rates, dates, and confirmation you give.
A listing is not an offer of employment by itself. A booking exists when it is confirmed in the app. We do not guarantee that a shift will be filled.
Self-service offices review applicants themselves. Other plans are filled with WORKFORCE's involvement, as the plan you accepted describes. Plan choice and the rate agreement are completed in the app, including when an assistant emails you the signing link.
AI assistants you connect
You may connect an AI assistant to your own candidate account or to an office account you belong to. You sign in on a WORKFORCE page. Do not paste access tokens into a chat.
You are responsible for the instructions you give that assistant and for the actions you authorize it to take. Those actions are treated as yours. They follow the same rules as the same action in the app: confirmations, cancellation fees, notices to other people, and reliability consequences.
The assistant can only use the tools we have enabled for that account. It cannot open someone else's record. Recruiter tools are not part of the public connector.
The assistant's provider is a separate company. Its terms govern the chat on its side. We are not the operator of Grok, Cursor, Muse, or ChatGPT.
We may revoke a connection if it is misused, if the account is closed, or if you ask us to. A connection ends after 30 days without use. It also ends 90 days after it was created, whichever comes first. The app does not yet have a screen that lists connected assistants. Disconnect WORKFORCE in the assistant's own settings, or contact support or security and ask us to revoke it. How to do that is on Support.
If an assistant takes an action you did not authorize, contact us promptly. We log connector calls so we can look at what was done in your account.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- misstate your identity, licence, registration, or authority to bind an office
- use the app or an assistant to reach another person's account, payroll data, or file notes
- upload patient information
- send malware, or probe the service for a weakness
- use the app to harass a professional, an office, or WORKFORCE staff
- resell access to the app or to a connector
- rely on the app for legal, tax, immigration, or clinical advice
We may remove content that breaks these rules, and we may refuse a booking that was made from false information.
Accounts we close
You may close your app login from Delete account, or by asking us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that fails a registration check, or that we must close to protect other people or the service.
Closing the login turns off sign-in and marketing. It does not erase records the law requires us to keep for a placement, for payroll, for tax, or for employment records. The Privacy Policy describes that.
What the app is not
The app is a staffing tool. It is not legal, tax, employment, or clinical advice. Regulatory rules differ by province and state and they change. Check anything you plan to rely on with your own advisor and with your regulator.
We do not assess or certify clinical skill. We do not provide credentialling services, interpret accreditation standards, or advise on supervision ratios. We do not advise on licensure, immigration, or residency. We do not guarantee that a shift will be filled, and we do not publish fill rates.
Rates, plans, and the markets we serve change. Nothing in the app is an offer capable of acceptance until a booking is confirmed or an agreement is signed.
Liability
We take our obligations seriously. We are not liable for lost production, lost profit, or other consequential loss from a shift that was not filled, or from a delay in the app or in an assistant. Our liability arising out of a booking is limited to the amount paid for that booking, where the law allows that limit. The same cap applies to use of the app and to use of an AI connector.
Nothing on this page limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
An AI assistant can be wrong. You review what it is about to send, post, or cancel. We are not liable for an assistant provider's outage or for a chat it stored on its own systems.
Governing law
These terms, including use of the app and of AI connectors, are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia are the venue.
Where Washington consumer-protection laws apply to you and cannot be waived, those protections still apply. Mandatory rights you have under the law where you live, including privacy rights described in the privacy policy, are not waived by this section.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top is when they last changed. Where a change is significant, we will tell the people it affects. Continuing to use the app after the update means the updated terms apply to new use. A signed staffing agreement is not rewritten by a change to this page.
